What: Cox Inspirational Student Hero Awards. This will return to an in-person event after a two year pause due to the pandemic.
Who: Fifty-three students were chosen by their schools because they’re an inspiration to their teachers, administration, fellow students and others around them. The students have overcome serious obstacles in their young lives, which include, but are not limited to, medical issues, a death in the family, language barriers, poor attitudes, etc. At the award ceremony, the students will receive an engraved medallion with their name and school listed, plus personalized certificates from Cox, Congressman Matt Gaetz, State Senator Doug Broxson and State Representatives Michelle Salzman, Alex Andrade and Jayer Williamson. The media is invited to help us celebrate the 53 students we’ll recognize at the event.
When: Monday, May 2, 2022. Reception starts at 3:30 pm, event begins at 4:00 pm
